What is the ECO4 scheme?

What is GBIS?

GBIS (Great British Insulation Scheme) is a complementary government programme focused specifically on providing insulation measures to help reduce energy bills and carbon emissions.

Who manages the ECO4 and GBIS funding?

ReLeaf Energy secures and manages ECO4 and GBIS funding on behalf of our customers, ensuring a smooth and compliant process from start to finish.

Am I eligible for a free grant?

Eligibility depends on factors such as household income, benefits received, property type, and current energy efficiency rating. Our team will assess this during your initial consultation.

What measures are covered under the free grant?

Measures may include boiler installations, heat control systems, loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, external/internal wall insulation, solar panels, ventilation systems, and more.

Is the grant really free?

Yes — for eligible households, the grant covers the full cost of approved energy-saving measures with no repayment required.

What is the process for getting funding through ReLeaf Energy?

It starts with an initial phone assessment, followed by a physical property survey, eligibility confirmation, installation booking, and finally, installation and certification.

What happens during the initial phone assessment?

We’ll ask a few questions about your household, income, property type, and current heating setup to determine your eligibility.

What does the physical survey involve?

A surveyor will visit your property to inspect its current energy efficiency by collecting the photographic evidence and then we will recommend suitable measures after assessment.

Are the installers certified?

Yes, every installer we work with is fully qualified, experienced, and certified to carry out energy efficiency improvements under ECO4 and GBIS.

Who carries out the installation work?

All installations are performed by licensed, qualified professionals registered with their relevant bodies like Gas Safe, Simply Trustmark etc. — the UK’s official quality assurance scheme.

Are the appliances and materials used brand new?
 

Yes — all equipment and materials used are brand new, sourced from reputable manufacturers, and come with full warranties.

Do the products come with manufacturer warranties?

Every product installed under our schemes includes a manufacturer warranty for peace of mind and long-term reliability.

What if I have a complaint or concern?

How long does the installation process take?

Most installations are completed within a few days, depending on the measures being installed and property access.

Can I choose which measures are installed?
